There seem to be some people suggesting a boycott of posting on LJ during today for some reason or other. Now, I'm sure that the matters complained about are sensible and worthy of discussion, but how does refusing to post make a difference beyond inconveniencing yourself. It feels like protesting against pharmaceutical companies by refusing to take any medicine on a given day; it may sound impressive in principle, but the pharmaceutical companies won't even notice.

Or am I missing something?
