I'm still alive, and on the train back to Windsor yesterday I got the distinct impression of natural gas due to someone next to me eating a cornish pasty. I suspect that my cold is playing tricks on my sense of smell ;).

Another thing that my cold is doing is waking me early feeling dehydrated. This is irritating. For all I like sleep, I'm not very good at getting into the state, with the result that if I wake in the early hours, I tend to stay awake. So...

...what should I do about this?

Drink lots before going to bed

Even if I'll just wake up in need of the loo

Even if I can't stand the thought of drinking anything more

But drinking dehydration salts instead of ribena because they what they're there for

Maybe this is caused by a lack of fibre - eat more of that

Or some other lack which I will mention in comments

You should change sleep cycle so that you don't spend as long asleep, thereby mitigating the problem

Or eat time-release water capsules

Or attach yourself to a drip
0(0.0%)
Or get rid of the cold which is causing all these problems in the first place.

Or get a grip and stop whining about it. There are starving children in Africa, you know.
