My (not particularly insistent) attempt to change this to: A blessed feast of Ss Cyril and Methodius to all you couples was quickly rebuffed and changed back again.
Now maybe I'm being overly touchy here, but when I think of days which single people can really feel their status is worthy of celebration, St Valantine's day is not really one which jumps out at me. It's a bit like americans wishing me happy independance day - I don't have any particular issue with the americans having 'won', but it seems a bit callow to try to rub peoples noses into it.
