There is a matter of towel etiquette that I've never been quite sure about - to what extent I'm supposed to separate my sanitary arrangements when bathing in other peoples houses from theirs. I'm not too worried about the matter, so I usually try to follow the lead given. However there are times when it is ambiguous - and as you all know, the best way to disambiguate things on LJ is to have a poll...

Poll #1294730 Towel Trouble

I have stayed overnight in your house and have had a refreshing morning bath. How would you expect me to dry myself?

With the towel carefully laid over my bed before my arrival
1(2.4%)
With the towel handed to / indicated to me when I said I was planning to bathe
7(17.1%)
With the clearly marked guest towel
0(0.0%)
With the towel in the bathroom that looks most likely to be appropriate
1(2.4%)
With the towel that I have brought with me
0(0.0%)
With random items of clothing I have with me / the handy roll of toilet paper in the bathroom
0(0.0%)
By frolicking naked in the fields outside
1(2.4%)
Hang on - we don't have a bath

Hello, police - there's a naked man in our bathroom...

ETA: If you're visiting my household, the choice is between using one of the towels which I use hanging up by the foot of the bath, or one of a pile of freshly laundered towels sitting by the sink unit. I don't have strong feelings either way. I do, however, recommend against frolicking in the fields as the queen takes a dim view of nakedness in Windsor Great Park.
